Shaun Leane

An award winning jeweller, named four times UK Jewellery Designer of the Year, London based Shaun Leane caught our attention with his wonderful lines of jewellery, self created with impeccable hand-crafting skills. Trained among master craftsmen at London’s jewellery quarter Hatton Garden, he soon evolved his designs into something that wanders now in his own collections between a dark romanticism and a simple, unpretentious beauty. A collaborator of Alexander Mcqueen and other well known fashion houses such as Givenchy, Sotheby’s described once his work as “antiques of the future”, most certainly referring to the discreet yet distinct way Leane approaches classical jewellery themes. His recent creations are on their most composed with Vermeil (Sterling silver coated with a minimum of 10 Kt. Gold) and the recurrent use of a variety of precious stones, diamonds and black pearls included. Shown below, some examples that we consider to be the most interesting and beautiful from each of his collections.
