Quite rarely have we been writing here about such established luxury houses as Dolce and Gabbana, and we must say that this is above all because most of the renowned fashion magazines and blogs around are already abundantly reporting on them. So despite all our initial reluctance, it became sort of imperative to write about it, as the Autumn/Winter collection from Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana presented last March in Milan, turned out to be a wonderful showcase of jewellery design. Inspired from Sicilian Baroque and its excesses of ornamentation, there was a procession of Christian saints, angels and classical embellishments, unfolding in what it seems to be beautiful compositions of gold, porcelain, precious stones and textiles. We just loved it.
Shown below, ad maiorem Dei gloriam, details of the holy procession.
P.S.: Unfortunately we couldn’t find any precise description for the pieces, thus our apologies.
