Farah Malik and Dana Arbib for A Peace Treaty – The Neteret Collection

Born from a personal pact between Farah Malik and Dana Arbib as they themselves describe, A Peace Treaty is a New York based jewellery brand inspired by the hand-craft traditions of the Middle-East, Asia, South America and Africa.

Titled Neteret meaning goddess in ancient Egyptian, the designs presented for A/W 2012 explored the traditional jewellery of the Pharaohs in a wonderfully achieved collection. Antiqued gold plated brass mixed beautifully with the characteristic Egyptian deep red and blue enamels, horn and the treasured lapis lazuli. The latter, highly valued for amulets among the people of the Nile as the gods were said to have hair made of this blue stone.
