“A rose-tinted flower peeking out of a crack in a pavement… a glint of sunlight on a rusty can… a pebble marking gentle waves in a rain shower’s puddle”
Eclectic and flamboyant, suggestive always of myriads of styles in each and every of her pieces, Ayala Bar’s jewellery compositions are a vibrant and continuous burst of shapes, textures and colours – enchanting as, in her own words above, inspiration taken from life itself.
Designed in Tel-Aviv, Israel and handcrafted from glass beads, mineral stones, crystal rhinestones, non precious metals and textiles, these are bold jewellery statements that let themselves uneasily categorize. Ornate metal engravings combine with the flowery patterns of the fabrics and an extreme variety of beads that make up for gorgeous decorated surfaces and a mix-and-match of tasteful aesthetic influences. There is something of a gipsy feel to them no doubt, here in the sense of a visual rhythm rich in ornamentation and cadences that unexpectedly shift. Truly outstanding work.
Thank you Ayala Bar and Hanna Marcovich for kindly providing the photographic materials above shown.
